Contractor websites in Venice

Venice runs on retirees, seasonal residents and a housing stock that took a beating from Hurricane Ian. That is a lot of work for the trades, and it goes to whoever the homeowner finds first on Google. We build the site and review system that makes that you. $297 a month, no contract, built before you pay.

Websites that get Venice contractors called

Venice is a retirement town first. A big share of the homeowners in Venice Gardens, South Venice, Plantation, Jacaranda and the 55-plus communities off Jacaranda Boulevard and Center Road are not going to climb a ladder, crawl under a house or haul brush to the curb. They hire for things a younger owner might do themselves, and they hire often. Many of them are only here from November to April, which means they also hire for the months they are gone.

Hurricane Ian in September 2022 changed the market. Venice, North Port and Englewood took some of the worst wind damage on the coast. Roofs, pool cages, fences, trees and soffits all needed work at once, and the contractors who were already visible on Google got more calls than they could answer. Three years on, insurance-driven roof replacements and the aging of everything Ian did not quite finish off are still feeding the trades.

We build sites for this buyer and this town. Big readable pages, the review count where a cautious homeowner can see it, service pages for the exact jobs Venice people search, and a phone number that gets answered or texted back within seconds.

What the Venice market looks like
01

Retirees and seasonal owners

Homeowners who hire for small and large jobs alike, often from out of state during the summer. They pick from Google and they read every review before calling.

02

The Ian aftermath

Roof replacements, screen enclosures, fences and tree work spiked after 2022 and have stayed elevated as insurance claims and deferred repairs work through the system.

03

Wellen Park growth

The West Villages and Wellen Park keep adding new homes along US 41 toward North Port. New construction means landscaping, screen installs, fences, and the first round of service calls a few years in.

04

Trust matters more here

Older homeowners have been burned by storm chasers and door knockers. A local address, a license number on the site and a wall of recent reviews are what get you in the door.

Trades we build for in Venice

The trades that stay busy here

Every site is built around the specific jobs people in Venice search for, not a generic template with the city name swapped in.

Roofing

Ian replacements, insurance inspections, and tile and metal roofs on homes built in the 1980s and 1990s. Venice homeowners want a local roofer with a real office and real reviews.

Screen and pool cage repair

Lanais and cages on nearly every home. Storm damage, rescreens, and cage rebuilds are a year-round search in Venice and Englewood.

Handyman and home repair

Grab bars, fan installs, door adjustments, drywall patches. Small jobs for owners who will not do them and cannot find anyone reliable. The repeat customer is the business.

HVAC

Full-time residents run the AC ten months a year and seasonal owners need it maintained while they are gone. Maintenance plans sell well here.

Tree service and lawn care

Oaks, palms and Brazilian pepper, storm cleanup, and weekly lawn routes for owners who are away half the year.

Pressure washing

Roof and driveway algae, pool decks, and HOA standards in the newer communities. Annual contracts once trust is built.

Where the work is

Google ranks contractors by how close and how relevant they look to the searcher. Naming the places you actually work, on real pages, is how a local site earns those searches.

  • Jacaranda and Jacaranda West
  • Plantation Golf and Country Club
  • Capri Isles
  • Nokomis

Licensing and permits

Licensing in and around Venice

Roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool and structural work require a Florida license through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Inside the City of Venice, permits and inspections run through the city's building division. South Venice, Nokomis, Osprey, Laurel and most of Englewood are unincorporated and go through Sarasota County, which also handles local contractor registration and county-regulated specialty trades like aluminum and screen enclosures. Parts of Englewood fall in Charlotte County.

Since July 2023, Florida no longer allows counties to require a local license for painting, flooring, cabinetry, drywall and handyman work. That has brought a lot of new names into the Venice market, and it has made homeowners more careful about who they let in the house.

Your license number, insurance and local address are on the site where a cautious Venice homeowner can find them in five seconds. That is often the deciding factor.

How we set it up

How a Venice build goes

The Google Business Profile comes first, with a service area that names Venice, South Venice, Nokomis, Osprey and Englewood, because that is how people here search. Then the site gets built around your real services, in a layout an older homeowner can read on a phone, with the review system running after the first job.

  1. Google Business Profile for the whole Venice area Categories, services, real job photos, and a service area drawn around where you actually work, from the island to Wellen Park to Englewood. We set it up and verify it with you if you do not have one.
  2. Readable service pages One page per service, larger type, clear pricing language where you want it, and the neighborhoods named. Written for how Venice homeowners actually search.
  3. The review engine After every job the customer gets a text asking for a review, with polite reminders. Four and five stars go to Google. Lower ratings reach you privately first.
  4. Missed-call text-back and booking Older customers still call. When you cannot answer from a roof or an attic, the caller gets a text back in seconds with a way to book or request a quote.
  5. Live in about a week, then maintained Hosting, edits, seasonal campaigns to past customers when the snowbirds return, and new pages as you add services, all inside the $297.
Questions from Venice contractors

Straight answers

My Venice customers are older. Do they really find contractors on Google?+
Yes, and their adult children do it for them from out of state. The phone call still happens, but the name that gets called comes from the map results and the review count. A site that is easy to read on a phone, with the reviews visible, is built exactly for that customer.
Do you cover Englewood and North Port too?+
Yes. Most Venice contractors work the whole stretch from Osprey down to Englewood and over to North Port. The Google Business Profile service area and the site pages are set up for wherever you actually drive.
How fast can I be live?+
About seven days from the call, if photos and a services list come in quickly. Google Business Profile verification can take longer and that is on Google's timeline.
What does it cost?+
$297 a month, flat, no setup fee, no contract. We build first and you pay nothing until it is live and you approve it. We limit contractors per trade in the area so we are not ranking two clients against each other.
Can you get me more reviews from Venice customers?+
That is the core of the system. Every completed job triggers a text asking for a review with polite follow-ups. Happy customers land on Google. Unhappy ones reach you privately first so you can fix it. Most contractors see the count moving within the first month.
